Isak waiting on Newcastle contract talks

Newcastle United know what they have to do in order to hold onto their talismanic forward.

The Magpies must offer Alexander Isak an improved contract if they want to keep him at the club.

With Champions League teams chasing the Swedish forward, the Magpies are in danger of Isak asking to leave.

On his future, Isak said last month: "I don't want to entertain these type of questions and rumours. It's not my position.

"I love playing, we have important games, there's no focus there (on my future), I just want to do good for the team."

Per Chronicle Live, a new contract with a higher salary would convince Isak to stay.
